Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to paid subscriptions and one-off purchases of YTSummarAI ("Service"). All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy Inc. as Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy on our behalf according to the terms below.

1. 14-day refund for new subscriptions

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or any other jurisdiction with similar mandatory cooling-off rules, you may request a full refund of your first Pro subscription payment within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Renewal payments are not covered by this 14-day window.

To request a refund, email support@ytsummarai.xyz with the email address used at checkout. We forward the request to Lemon Squeezy; the refund is credited to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

2. Cancellation vs refund

You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the in-app Billing tab or from Lemon Squeezy's customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the period you already paid for; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period.

A refund is the return of money already paid; it is separate from cancellation and is granted only under the conditions in section 1 or 3.

3. Refunds outside the 14-day window

Refund requests after the 14-day window are reviewed case by case. We typically grant a partial or full refund when:

Refund requests for "I forgot to cancel" past the 14 days are not guaranteed but we will look at them in good faith.

4. Pay-per-use Telegram Stars (legacy)

Earlier versions of the Service used Telegram Stars on a pay-per-use basis (3 Stars per summary). Stars purchased directly inside Telegram are governed by Telegram's own refund rules and are non-refundable from our side once consumed. Users who held a positive Stars balance when we migrated to the freemium model have already been credited with equivalent Pro access (see in-bot announcement).

5. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without contacting us first, we may suspend your account pending resolution. Please email us before disputing — most issues can be resolved within a day.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email support@ytsummarai.xyz from the address used at checkout.
  2. Include the order ID from your Lemon Squeezy receipt and a brief reason (optional).
  3. We respond within 2 business days and forward to Lemon Squeezy.
  4. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
